Shiv Srinivasan is the Chief Investment Officer of Public Markets at Abu Dhabi Investment Council. Over the past 18 years, Shiv has been instrumental in building ADIC’s global active Investments portfolio, where he was responsible for absolute return strategies including global hedge funds, private credit & insurance strategies. In his current role as CIO of Public Markets, Shiv is responsible for investments within the public market asset classes including Equities, Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange, Commodities and Credit covering long only, Hedge Funds and Coinvestment strategies. 

 

Prior to joining ADIC in 2008, Shiv was the Co – Deputy Chief Investment Officer at Optima Fund Management in New York, where he was responsible for global hedge fund portfolio management. He was previously an Equities Trader at Goldman Sachs in New York focusing on synthetic equity strategies. Prior to it, he worked at HSBC as a Product Manager for Credit, covering the Middle East region.

 

Shiv holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from University of Madras and a Master’s degree in Economics from Annamalai University in India. He also holds an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School University of Pennsylvania, US. He is accredited with an AMIE in Electrical Engineering from the Institution of Engineers India, an ACIB at the Chartered Institute of Bankers UK and is a CFA.
